I'm Back! And I won't promise that I will keep up with this little blog either.  I have learned a few things over the last few months.  You can't have it all....a balanced life doesn't exist and that some balls will be dropped...always.  There is just not enough time to do everything.  I have learned to prioritize my duties and time.  There won't be time for everything and I have learned to say "no".  I have made peace with the things each week that are neglected.  Because I chose to do the things that were important to me.  Some weeks it may be my workout that is neglected or my cleaning isn't kept up.  But the other things...the important things like giving my daughter the time she needs (and deserves), healthy family meals are prepared (didn't say that they were amazing but they are made), putting aside time for a daily devotional and giving myself time to take care of "me".  Not in the spa day, pedicure "me" time.  I just simply mean, getting a somewhat decent amount of sleep and making sure I am in good health "me" time.  If I am not healthy, it is pretty difficult for our family "system" to function.  I wasn't doing this a few months ago and I was not in a good place.  My sanity and health were failing me.  I was overwhelmed and not putting my health first.  I had back issues that I ignored for way too long that left me barely able to function and then I got... Shingles.....I mean what 28 year old gets the Shingles?!  I think that was my breaking point!

But I am back...feeling a little less crazy, a little more healthy and a whole lot happier. It's all still a learning process but it's working for us...for now.  Our days are long and busy.  Piper is taking ballet class, music class and we have started a "Mom and Me" program....it's just one day a week and I go with her until January when she starts going all by herself :)

I'll catch up soon, but we really didn't do a whole lot this summer and didn't take a whole of pictures either.  But I do have some to share and I will soon.  Here are the most recent pics I have taken.

Easter 2013

Thanks to potty training (she is doing great yay!!) I had some extra time to do  some spring decorating.  I'm really not much of a seasonal decorator but I had  this stuff already, so I took 5 minutes to tape it all up :)  And I finally braved dying some eggs with the girl.

And this is where I said....ok mom put down the camera b/c your kid is dying 4 eggs at once!

We went to a fun little playdate just for some little people......and they had a chance to see the Easter Bunny and do a little easter egg hunt.

This girl totally loved the Easter Bunny.......she had to show him everything she found.  **This was one of the dads dressed up.....he totally wins the Father of the Year award  .....it was so hot and he was so great with them!

"Look Easter Bunny I got some eggs, look Easter Bunny I got jelly beans.......Easter Bunny I'm going down the slide!"     ok Piper :)

Made a little treat for the playdate......found here:

Unfortunately, I didn't really have the time to make it b/c of something that came up last minute the night before.......so Kyle helped me rush around and get it all together before we left :)

Easter morning....after church :)

Awe how sweet right......this was probably more realistic of the moment.

Cheese!

And bare with me on all these pics......this was our first time really enjoying this.  Hunting for eggs at Omie's house.

Forget diamonds......shoes are this girl's best friend!

Now I realize that this post here in no way has a meaningful purpose and is completely materialistic.  And I am sure you are probably thinking, "girl, you're taking pictures of your shoes......get.a.life"  But I thought it was a nice little break from 1,400 more pictures of Piper doing...something!

I have learned over the years that cheap shoes are just that and you get what you pay for.  Usually, they aren't comfortable and I regret wearing them later.  So, I learned it's better to spend money on "good" shoes and just have fewer pairs.  The shoes I have spent more money on are almost always the shoes I wear most anyways.  (I have noticed this also with Piper's shoes)  But let's face it.....it's a little harder to splurge on expensive things these days and most of my "good" shoes were purchased way before Piper was born and have definitely been worn to death.

Thanks to a little extra money I made at one of the markets a few weeks ago, I got myself some new shoes!

Yes, 3 pair to be exact!  But, the grand total I spent on these beauties was less than $50 total for all 3 pairs! I found them on Zulily.com and was a little hesitant at first because each pair was $15 or less, but since they were all pretty close knock-offs of the really expensive ones I couldn't buy, I gambled and went for it.

I am so happy with them :)  The quality is great and they are in fact comfortable!  The brand is Quipid.  I googled it and found lots of other places to buy them.

Now my husband has just walked in and rolled his eyes at my ridiculous post......maybe someone out there will read and enjoy it :)

An ice cream date with dad!....ok I went to :)

I have been wanting to do a little ice cream date to celebrate the end of basketball season.....but haven't gotten  around to it until now.  We went for ice cream at Sunharvest and I saw this railroad track by it and couldn't resist!

Piper thought it was waayyy cool because she got her OWN ice cream!
