I'm not gonna lie....I was crossing my fingers PA had dandelions come spring.  And sure enough, they are everywhere.  But since they are just weeds, it wasn't exactly easy finding a spot to take pictures, but we managed....and I'm pretty sure I did some trespassing.

I edited these....normally I don't edit, but I am practicing and trying to become more familiar with photoshop.  I probably should have checked my camera settings before we took pictures last night. I should probably practice camera settings too ;)

I think some of these have a little "too" much done but...that's why I am practicing.

And a few from my phone....just be kind to me...I never claim to be a professional :)

Hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day.  I know I sure did!  We just got back from an awesome (and exhausting) trip to New York....or as Piper called it all weekend "The big big city!"  We had planned to go on this trip for my 30th birthday but then we moved right before and all the plans kind of changed.  This trip was a little different than what originally I wanted to do since Piper was with us, but we had so much fun enjoying the city through her little eyes.  We did so many more touristy things that we didnt do the last time we visited, but I wanted Piper to look back at pictures one day and see all the fun things she was able to experience.  It really was a dream trip.  I honestly never imagined that I would be able to take my daughter to New York and experience all of these fun things with her.  It was the best Mother's Day gift!  Kyle was so good all weekend about humoring me with all the silly things I wanted to do and the gazillions of pictures I needed to take.

I grumble and complain a lot about things in life that aren't quite what I had expected to be at this point in my life, but then I have to give myself a big kick in the pants because our life isn't so bad.  We are able to enjoy and experience so many new and different things now that we are living here in PA and I have to remind myself how lucky I am that get to stay home with Piper everyday.  Seriously, I can't believe I complain sometimes....blessed little life we have!

I had way to many photos to post.  So I decided to do a slideshow, I love this song and it seemed appropriate for Mother's Day and my feelings on life right now (ugh that sounds so cheesy). Of course, I had too many pictures so it plays the song twice :)

I also had a few little videos I recorded and wanted to put all together to have saved also :)

We were able to catch a train in New Jersey to take into New York.
Friday was misty rainy and foggy all day....but we decided to suck it up and go out anyways.  I found a food truck I was hoping to find and get lunch and some of their yummy donuts and Kyle was NOT amused that it was Vegan!
Before we even left for New York Kyle had his mind made up that we would avoid American Girl for a few years, but we accidentally walked by it and of course Piper begged to go in and he said yes :) She doesn't even know what it is but saw all the dolls in the window....and was very happy she got the stuffed dog she found.  We were just happy to leave with a happy girl and only spending $10 and avoiding a tantrum when she couldn't get a doll!
Subways are not my friend.  Im not sure why but we can't seem to get it right....we even had the app to help us.  So we ended up walking more than anything....taking a few taxis when we absolutely couldn't walk another step.
After we saw the 911 Memorial, I thought it would be a fun idea to find the "Friends apt".  Kyle swears we walked 5 miles to find it....it was a ridiculous walk, followed by a disaster attempt to get to Shake Shack via Subway.  We ended up exiting the subway at the exact same location that we got on and just walked to a different one.  I thought I was going to cry tears of joy when we finally got to it and Piper was excited b/c she thought it was a party.

Saturday we had breakfast and spent most of the day in Central Park.  That evening we had some yummy pizza and went to Top of the Rock and headed to Serendipity for a banana split (I've tried the frozen hot chocolate before).  Piper spotted Dylan's candy bar on the way there so we humored her and let her go in and we left only getting a .75 candy necklace which she thought was just the coolest!

Sunday we had a yummy brunch, went to FAO Schwarz and then had some Magnolia Bakery cupcakes before heading back home.

Having trouble with the subway and walking everywhere probably wasted a lot of our time, but I really enjoy walking and wandering and not always having a plan.  That's when you stumble on the best places, randomly see celebrities and make the best memories :)
