My baby girl started Kindergarten.  So very bittersweet.  I will miss her all day long, but I am secretly looking forward to somewhat more organized chaos here.  I will be using naptimes to try to accomplish some things I am sooo very behind on, working on the very long list of future blog posts (and excited to get back into that) and working on my business....which I haven't even mentioned on here much...but in time :)  

She told me this morning she was "more than a little excited", which makes my mama heart so happy to hear.  I found myself thinking over the past few days...."ok just kidding...we don't have to do this!"....and then wondering how Ive become this crazy person!!

Here is a little bit about our girl at 5 1/2 years old

She loves art projects and the Ipad and curling up and watching movies.  

She was most excited about computer class at school
She is our little social butterfly and loves spending time with friends
She dead serious thinks she is allergic to salad

When she grows up, she wants to be a police officer (thanks to Zootopia) #judyhoppslifematters

As much as I love dressing her up in all her pretty dresses, she would much rather wear her nike shorts or "sports outfit" any day

We are so proud of the girl she is and cant wait to see what she does.  She has a pure heart of gold and I hope the world never turns her sour. 

 Nothing says Kindergartner like your mom finally letting you sit Booster style in the car....yes friends I made my nearly 6 year old use the 5 point harness still 

And now Im off to clean the front door....you know you saw it too!!

I have been itching to get back to documenting life.  I guess because the last year has been crazy hectic and I have barely even taken any pictures.  I don't know why, but taking pictures and putting everything here fulfills me in some little odd way.  I missed it.  

A few weeks ago Kyle asked me what I wanted to do to celebrate my birthday (which was on a Monday so we celebrated on Sunday).  I said I wanted to go take some pictures by this pretty tree that I had seen a few days before.  I knew it wouldn't last very long and I would lose the opportunity if I didn't do it soon.  

It was so beautiful.....like a big fluffy cloud.  I have no idea what it is but I want one :).  A few days later we drove by and all the white was gone.  Crazy how it lasts just a short amount of time. 

I just asked Piper if I could take her picture by the pretty tree and she was really cute....I just let her do whatever and I followed her around and took pics.  She was so cute at one point she picked some off the tree and put them in her pocket all on her own.  

She is starting Kindergarten soon and I am just so not cool with it!  I can't beleive how fast it all goes by.  I hope we can make the most out of the summer and I can give her all the one on one attention she has been craving.

A. I can't beleive its been over a year since I posted anything.

B. I can't beleive its been a year since this trip to NYC

C. Don't expect me to keep this up ;)

Really, I can't beleive this was a year ago.  To the day to be exact.  We left to go to NYC for our anniversary and to see the city at Christmas.  And since our anniversary is tomorrow and we got nothing going on.....here is our trip from a year ago! 

We planned our 6th anniversary trip to NYC to enjoy Christmas Lights, the Radio City Spectacular and all sorts of other fun stuff.  Turns out the rain, mobs of people in town for Christmas with umbrellas in tow and protesters put a damper on our plans, and I specifically remember being pregnant and hormonal and a big ole whiney pants about it.  I know I shouldn't complain because it was a great trip to be able to say we did...but I still was disappointed.

 I did a little research...bought tickets like 7 months in advance and we had the BEST seats!!

  We were able to meet up with the Moore family (who were also in town for the weekend) to see Santa at the Macy's Santaland.

 And then we walked for what seemed like days in the rain to get lunch...finally ended up at a pub/restaurant and sort of took over the back dining area :)

Each of the girls wanted a turn with the camera.

That evening we walked around in the rain some more....good times!  And finally met up with the Moore family again at FAO Swartz to escape the rain and crowds.

The next morning we had to get up early and run out for breakfast before we caught an early train because Kyle had to catch a flight that day in PA for an interview in Alabama for a job....funny looking back on that now.

Sorry Pipes....American Girl wasn't open yet.  

I had so many fun adventures with Piper.  It makes me sad sometimes to think that she probably won't remember most of it.  Hopefully, she will appreciate some of it being documented and enjoy reading about it one day.
