Moving day is tomorrow.....and I'm pretty sad about it.  It's actually going to be a slow painful process all weekend.  We have a lot going on and will just move what we can tomorrow and on Saturday and all the big furniture stuff on Sunday.
I have such mixed feelings about moving.  I think because we are moving to another non-permanent situation is what I am dreading.  I am so ready to have my OWN home, that I can do what I want to it, but I am in no rush to be a home owner.....we just want to make sure that THIS is the place for us, before we really settle here.   And I really have not wanted to do to much as far as decorating/buying things because we are renting....so I just keep making stuff work and trying very hard to love it without spending much.   Maybe a part of me is sad b/c this is the home where we started our little family.....I am going to miss Piper's sweet little room.  I put so much love and time into making it so special for her.

I wanted to take Piper to our community playground slide one last time....she loves it....and I wanted to snap some pics there.

Chasing our shadow

She always has to walk on this thing.....but she takes like the tiniest steps on it....it's quite humorous

She had to go down this way.....so I made her take her shoes off after that

Thanks heavens for bleach, right?!

This girl in a nutshell.....always spinning :)

That's it....b/c the rest of the time she was making me slide with her :)

I have been grumbling about living in Fort Myers for a few years now.  I have continued to whine about how hot it is (I get cranky in the heat...I can't help it), I complain that I don't love the housing choices and prices, I complain that there isn't anything fun to do, or any decent shopping.  A lot of my friends are not from here or have moved away.  But lately I am feeling so different about this place.  Kyle and I have some great close friends and I have met some pretty great people lately that have made life here much more bearable :)  I absolutely love our church Next Level Church.  And Piper seems to be having much better days lately.....not that they were that bad compared to others....but we have had some rougher months lately.  She's so sweet, so funny, and so darn cute.....I feel so emotional when I think about how lucky I am to get to be her mom.
Today we went to the C'MON - The Golisano Children's Museum of Naples.  Wow...why didn't anyone tell me how cool this place is.  I met my new friend Mandy there with her son Mason, who is just a few months older than Piper (Piper acts so silly when she is around Mason).  This place is so awesome.  We stayed for hours and didn't even do everything.  I just took a couple pics, having the camera out was really annoying.  I'm thinking an annual pass for the girl for her birthday would be a way better gift than toys!
Feeding seeds to the birds.

Most likely the only snowmen she'll know...made of leather and felt (she won't stop talking about the snowman!)

And her favorite part of course....the water tables!

and my favorite part....they sell cupcakes!...seriously, I want to live here :)

Funny girl. These are from a few weeks ago.....

We were playing with her babies.....changing their clothes and diapers.  All of a sudden Piper grabs her baby and runs away.  I go to see what she was up to and I found this.  I guess her baby really had to go!

(sorry for the bad pics....our bathroom is like a dungeon....absolutely no windows in there!)

Then she says the baby needs a shower.   :)

Luke's birthday party was forever ago....end of August.  Forgot about these pics....whoops!!

Side note....Happy Birthday to my Grandma Pate.....91 or 92 today......even though she doesn't read my blog :)

Party was a things that go.....but not the Richard Scary theme....just cars, trucks, trains and planes...you know...boy stuff!

My dad brought his gator with these cute barrels thingies to make a "train" ride.  He even dressed up for the part....and it was a bagillion degrees.

Justin decorated this cake......doctor, man crafter, cake decorator.....gee whiz Jenn....how'd you get so lucky!

I didn't bring swimsuits......but Russ offered to take Piper in the pool so she wasn't missing out.  She just wore some swim bloomers...she didn't mind.

There was a hurricane or tropical storm this weekend.....so the next morning Piper and I had to high tail it back home....luckily there was no action and we just all enjoyed some time at home together.
